Child Of God, Not A Slave To The Master

CEkN6q2XIAEh9l4.jpg The Word Hey everyone, I wanted to share what we talked about at church this morning. We were looking in the Bible at Galatians 3:23-29  and Galatians 4:1-7. No longer prisoners by the law In verses 23-25, it talks about being prisoners by the law. Since Jesus Christ has come, we no longer have to be prisoners by law. If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, and have faith that Jesus is the Son of God and was sent here to die for our sins, then you are no longer a prisoner by the law. Now a child of god In verses 26-29, it talks about when you are saved, you become a child of God. You are one in Christ Jesus. In Galatians 4:1-7, it talks about how God sent Jesus to save us, so we may be adopted into his family, an heir to the kingdom of God. For everyone who is already saved, I know it is still a struggle to keep God number one, and not be "a slave to the master." We all sometimes are a slave to something/someone in our life.   The...

God Knows What You Need Without You Even Asking

content.jpg September 23rd, 2018 I was in kind of a bad mood about an hour before church tonight. I was feeling a little lonely after scrolling through social media and seeing a lot of my friends having fun with their friends, while I am at home with no social life. Five minutes before time for me to leave for church, I drug myself out of bed, walked out the door, and got into the car. I was reminded by my youth pastor and God’s word, Matthew 6:19-24 , that we must keep God number one in our lives always. Social media, family, friends, music, nothing c...

When It Feels Like Your Life Is Falling Apart

34293-cast-your-care.400w.tn.png September 19th, 2018 Well here I am, currently procrastinating when I should be recording my playing videos for Orchestra that are due tomorrow, studying for tomorrow's Spanish 3 Honors Quiz, and getting ahead on Serial Podcasts since I will be missing my Advanced Composition Honors class tomorrow.  To add on to that, I am worried about my mom. My mom had a colonoscopy two weeks ago and ended up having three polyps removed, two small ones and one big one and they biopsied them.  My mom got a call last week saying that the big one was cancerous.  My heart sank when she told me the news.  Just when I thought me and my family were finally getting a break, considering both of my uncles had been in the hospital for weeks, and now this. I just could not believe it.   I decided all I could do right now is pray, so I did. Crying and praying for God to heal her and help me through this. My mom sees an oncologist tomorr...
